We had no clue how to use our snowboards or even where to use them. In fact, the first time we tried to use them our local mountain, Killington, told us we couldn't. We were treated like outlaws for the first few years until the sport really took off.

We carved our first turns, hit our first jumps, and surfed our first stash of pow. It was great, so great we decided to open the Board Barn, the first true snowboard shop in Killington, Vermont.
Jeff Brushie (US Open Champion) helped us open our doors in the fall of 1991. Over the next few seasons we rode as much as we could constantly looking for what was next.
It started off with a backyard quarter-pipe that turned into the contest we dubbed "The Super Jump". "The Super Jump" was a pro-am event we held throughout the mid-nineties. We dropped a massive WWII boiler between our buildings and built a huge kicker that sent kids flying high above our rooftop.
It was the talk of the town and received press throughout the industry thanks to articles in all the major snowboard magazines.

The boards have changed, the styles have changed, but one thing will always remain, our love for snow and the sport of snowboarding.
You'll see our staff and team out on the slopes almost everyday. When they're not in Vermont they're flying from one part of the country to the next in hopes of Olympic glory.
Till this day, we live by one motto "Ride Till I Die."
