When should I make my reservation?
As soon as possible. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you fail to inform us of your cancellation 24-hours in advance we'll have to charge you the equivalent of a 1-day rental rate.

What model ski or snowboard will I get?
We do not reserve specific models in our regular reservation process. Our technicians will determine the appropriate rental equipment based on the information you provide us with. If the rental package you reserved is sold out, we'll upgrade you at no extra charge.

Can I reserve a specific ski or snowboard?
If you are looking to reserve a specific ski or snowboard we offer our PLATINUM package. The PLATINUM package provides specific ski/snowboard model reservations for customers seeking out the absolute best equipment available. *To request a specific model we ask that you email or call us with your request so we check for for its availability.

After I've submitted my reservation how long should it take until I recieve my confirmation?
24-48 Hours. If you don't hear back from us after 48 hours you can call +001 802 422 9050 or email info@firststopboardbarn.com to confirm that we have received your reservation.

Skis, snowboards, helmets, boots, poles, and snowshoes...

Do you rent shaped skis?
Yes, we carry shaped skis, lots of them.

Do you rent "Rocker" snowboards and skis?
Yes, we carry rocker snowboards and skis. However, they're only available in our Gold and Platinum packages in limited amounts.

Do you carry equipment for people with big feet?
We have a limited supply of ski boots up to size 15 and snowboard boots up to size 14. There's an extremely high demand so be sure to reserve them in advance!

Do you rent helmets for kids?
Yes, our store does rent helmets for kids and adults. There is an extremely high demand so it's important to reserve your helmet in advance.

What if I have my own boots?
Boots are included with your rental package. If you do choose to use your own boots we'll properly adjust them to fit the equipment when you arrive. The price will remain the same.

Do your stores have winter clothing available for rent?
Unfortunately, we do not rent winter clothing.

Why?
We're a little bit crazy when it comes to cleanliness and it's something we're far too concerned would ruin your vacation. *As an alternative, we do sell inexpensive snow pants, jackets, gloves, and hats. Shop our online store

If we arrive early, can we pick up our gear the day before?
Absolutely, you may pick up your equipment anytime after 3 pm and there is no charge for that day's rental. If you are looking for a certain model there is a chance it won't be available till the following morning. It's always best to call ahead.

We're arriving late Friday night and want to hit the slopes first thing Saturday morning, are you open late?
We are open till 12 midnight on Fridays during the winter season.

What if we're running late?
If for some reason you can't make it by 12 midnight don't rush! (We can almost guarantee that the cops around here will give you a ticket for doing 26 in a 25! It's nuts, we know.)

We'll reopen before the lifts turn on the next morning. So you can pick up your rentals and be on the slopes in no time. The Skyeship and Bear Mountain are the quickest ways to access the mountain, they also offer free parking!

Can I exchange my skis for a snowboard or snowboard for skis?
Certainly, you may switch from skiing to snowboarding or snowboarding to skiing. *There may be a slight price difference depending on the package.

Can I exchange my skis or snowboard if I'm unhappy with them?
Of course, we want you to have a blast and we understand how important is it to be comfortable. *You can quickly exchange your equipment in-store and get back on the hill in no time. We're conveniently located 1 mile east of the Killington Skyeship and Bear Mountain access road.

What time are my rentals due back?
5:59pm. Please call us if you're running late.

Can I extend my rental package?
Yes, please call us to extend your rental package.

What if I return my skis early?
You will be refunded for any unused days. Returns must be made prior to 9am to receive credit for that day (no exceptions).

What length ski or snowboard should I rent?
If you don't know, leave it blank. Our technicians will choose a length based on your weight, height and ability.

What's your biggest sized boot?
We carry ski boots up to size 15 and snowboard boots up to size 14. Surprisingly, they rent out quite often, so be sure to reserve them in advance!

Can you deliver my equipment to my hotel before I show up?
No, to fit your equipment properly, we'll need to have you come into the shop.

Can you deliver my equipment to my hotel after our group has been fitted?
In most cases, yes. Please call or email us in advance. There is a delivery fee of $10.00/rental package. Minimum delivery amount: $50.00

What happens if I love the skis/snowboard I tried?
You should buy them. That's one reason people demo them. We think of it as our "Try Before You Buy" policy.

Can I apply my rental fee towards the purchase of a new ski or snowboard package?
Yes, you can! It's just another incentive of booking online; you're allowed to apply up to two days of rental fees towards the purchase of a brand new package. Pretty sweet if you ask us.
